Friend­ship Vil­lage and Green­Fields Earn Pres­ti­gious Read­ers’ Choice Awards

For the fourth con­sec­u­tive year, Friend­ship Senior Options’ senior retire­ment com­mu­ni­ties, Friend­ship Vil­lage of Schaum­burg and Green­Fields of Gene­va, were both named Best Retirement/​Assisted Liv­ing Com­mu­ni­ties” in the Chicagoland area’s Dai­ly Her­ald Read­ers’ Choice Awards.

Friend­ship Vil­lage, which just cel­e­brat­ed its 39th anniver­sary, is one of the largest retire­ment com­mu­ni­ties in the nation and has won numer­ous awards for its inno­v­a­tive lifestyles pro­gram­ming. Green­Fields of Gene­va first opened the doors of its beau­ti­ful com­mu­ni­ty four years ago and in a short time, has already estab­lished itself as a leader.

Both Green­Fields and Friend­ship Vil­lage offer a com­plete con­tin­u­um of care includ­ing inde­pen­dent liv­ing, assist­ed liv­ing, mem­o­ry sup­port and skilled care, while pro­vid­ing an excep­tion­al lifestyle.

Dai­ly Her­ald, one of the Chica­go area’s top media sources, has a read­er­ship of more than 900,000, who were encour­aged to vote for these pres­ti­gious awards.

In 2010, there were 53,364 Amer­i­cans who were at least 100. By 2045 that num­ber is pro­ject­ed to reach 757,000.
